Research Portfolio

I currently work as a Quantum Sensing Expert at QuantumDiamonds GmbH (Munich, Germany), where my work sits at the interface of semiconductor failure analysis and diamond-based quantum sensing platforms. My focus is on developing and deploying quantum sensing methods for advanced device characterization in industrial environments.

I completed my doctoral research in quantum optimal control at Universität des Saarlandes and TU Kaiserslautern, where I worked on applying optimal control theory to improve experiments in quantum sensing with single defects in diamond.

Following my PhD, I pursued postdoctoral research on materials and methods for quantum sensing in biological systems at RPTU Kaiserslautern, in the group of Prof. Dr. Elke Neu-Ruffing. This work focused on quantum technology–relevant diamond material development and on extending solid-state quantum sensing techniques to biologically relevant environments.

My second postdoctoral position was at Forschungszentrum Jülich, where I worked in the groups of Prof. Dr. Tommaso Calarco and Prof. Dr. Frank Wilhelm-Mauch on quantum information processing and quantum computing with solid-state spin systems.
